Well the weekend went great. Friday Baby GL was extubated and put back on to the high flow cannula. His oxygen levels are the lowest they've been. By the weekend I was able to hold him and even give him his bath on Sunday. His current weight is 3lbs 3oz. We are thrilled with that weight. We were worried he'd lose a little with everything that happened. He was up to 3lbs 5oz but with fluid retention only. Now he's back to normal and filling his diapers as he should to release the fluids. He's been bumped up to a normal preemie diaper now. He was filling the smaller one too quickly and making messes too frequently. The nurses are thrilled to have to change his bedding every couple hours.
