Things are still moving up for Baby GL. He's had a good weekend. He's up to 1140 grams, 2lbs 8oz and his feedings are now 21cc's every 2 hours. He seems to sleep more soundly now that he's on the cannula. I think he isn't as annoyed anymore and can be more relaxed.
Yesterday, Baby GL had a couple guests. Our friend came to visit. It was nice that she could be there while we were holding Baby GL. He was wide awake for a while in the afternoon. We have problems leaving him when he's awake so we spent a longer time at the hospital than expected. I think he woke up at the point that he knew we were putting him back in his bed. Already a sneaky little boy.
Auntie came to visit, also. She got to hold Baby GL for the first time. It so great that his family can get closer to him now. The cannula has made it so much easier for us to move him. Now when people come to visit he can really enjoy their company.
Today was bath day. Baby GL really enjoys them. He just sits back and let me do everything for him. That includes cleaning him up after his really big diaper messes. For being so small he sure does have the body functions of a big baby.
